The corporation is organized and shall be operated exclusively for improvement of the conditions of those employed as Wisconsin Troopers, Inspectors and Police Communication Operators, including supervisors (first line supervisors through superintendent) and retirees, the development of a higher degree of efficiency in such occupation and foster activities which promote law enforcement and public safety and the good of the community.

23rd Annual Art & Essay Contest

The Wisconsin Troopers' Associations intention is to direct the energies of Wisconsin's youth toward a positive activity and to encourage interaction with law enforcement officers. Therefore, we would like to invite all students to participate in the 2010 Art & Essay Contest.

Who May Participate:

Students in Kindergarten to 12th grade.

Previous winners and honorable mentions are eligible to enter the contest.

Students Competition:

Students in grades K, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 may enter the Art Contest only.
Students in grades 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 may enter either the Art or the Essay Contest.

Theme:

Art Contestants – “Treasures to Protect”
Essay Contestants - "Treasures to Protect"

Deadline:

Entries must be "postmarked" on or before February 14, 2010.
Winning entrants will be notified by March 15, 2010.

Judges:

The competition is judged by a panel of law enforcement professionals, who will announce a total of 53 winners and one Director's Award recipient.

Cash Prizes:

Students in Kindergarten to 5th Grade - $50.00 each
Students in 6th to 8th Grades - $75.00 each
Students in 9th to 12th Grades - $125.00 each
Director's Award - $150.00

All Winners and Honorable Mentions will be invited to attend an Awards Presentation at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells on Saturday, April 24, 2010
